After sales support and warranty administration on consumer electronics and appliances in Southern Africa has long been a headache for manufacturers and
end-users. Maxicare capitalised on the growing market demand for a centralised provider of warranty administration and became an industry leading
provider of customised warranty administration solutions to manufacturers and retailers in the consumer industry.
Utilising multiple years of industry related knowledge and experience, Innovation Group soon expanded the focus to include post warranty repairs; and replacement
policies and services to individual consumers and more recently to commercial organisations.
Milestones
- Maxicare started in 1974
- The eQuals Group (Pty) Ltd established in 1997 out of the growth and evolution of CWA
- 2001 The Innovation Group purchased eQuals
- 2004 The Innovation Group acquired Maxicare
- 2006 eQuals Group changed name to Innovation Group
- 2007 Innovation Group SA completed BEE deal for 25% of SA shareholding
- 2008 Innovation Maxicare introduces unique commercial maintenance contracts
